Jamie Hansen is the Associate Vice Chancellor for University Advancement where she co-leads the university’s principal gifts strategy and supports Chancellor Andrew D. Martin’s philanthropic engagement. In this role, she develops and advances strategies for the university’s most significant donors and prospects, with a particular focus on gifts of $5 million or more.

Prior to her current role, Jamie spent 12 years leading WashU’s major gift efforts in the San Francisco Bay Area. During that time, she worked closely with the San Francisco Regional Cabinet and the Leading Together Campaign Committee to deepen alumni and donor engagement and advance the university’s philanthropic priorities. Earlier in her career at WashU, Jamie served as Senior Associate Director of Planned Giving, working with donors on complex and long-term philanthropic strategies.

Before joining WashU, Jamie led planned giving at Truman State University. Across her career, she has worked in principal, major, and planned giving, bringing a broad perspective to developing philanthropic relationships and advancing institutional priorities.

Jamie graduated with a B.A. in history from the University of Missouri, and a J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law. She resides in Alton, Illinois with her husband and daughter.
